Perhaps the dearth of powered speakers is generically due to the fact that designing active speakers cuts across two traditional areas, speaker builder and amplifier builder.

Personally for me ... they can't be too large for a NYC apartment setting ...

How about an all new MTM design with some new and really top level drivers made just for open baffle, and right below that, three 8" servo controlled woofers... :eyebrows:
Any more news on these servo woofers? How about making some truncated 6.5" servo woofers for use in the LS-6 or LS-9 cabinets. This would make for an interesting line source subwoofer.

We decided to increase the length of the voice coil slightly. It will mean sample number 3 (and more shipping).
