Yes, the dac1 was only being used as a dac.

Previous to the show Drajan wasn't sure if the Solaja preamp would be ready so I arranged for the preamp version of the Benchmark. Since he was able to complete the demo unit in time we only used the DAC portion of the Benchmark. I used the full preamp previous to the show and it was excellent.

$1,800 for the passive preamp and $4,500 for the tube preamp. Both sounded great in our system.
