Many thanks to Frank for providing the drive gear for our big monitor comparo out in Oregon.  The Insight preamp/DAC and Insight amp performed flawlessly in driving some likewise dynamite loudspeakers.  AVA's gracious sponsorship and support for the hobby is MUCH appreciated.  This is the second consecutive year Frank's gear has been here.  If there are cleaner, or for-the-money more powerful drive units out there, I've yet to hear them.

The power amplifier we supplied was an Insight+ Double 170 built in a Dyna St-120 chassis.

I had expected to have an Insight+ 240 available in our own chassis for the event, but my demo unit, sent out for an evaluation ended up being sold and not returned.

The Insight+170 has the same audio circuits as the 240, just a slightly smaller power transformer to fit in the available space and a different layout.

When we rebuild an old Dyna St-120, all we save is the bare chassis, cover, two of the black metal heat sinks, and the black and red binding posts.  Everything else is brand new.  Its a fun project for us to build.

I am very glad our equipment worked well for you and with all those different speakers.  It appears a great time was had by all.

There was ample clean power to spare on even the most demanding speakers in the GTG!!  I really like this little amp, Frank.  Sad to see it go.
