Paradisea 3 Problem
« on: 4 Aug 2010, 11:06 am »
On songs with lots of bass, my Paradisea 3 clips or has a form of distortion. I've only noted it on 2-3 songs thus far but it must be something wrong. I've tried 4 different tubes to make sure it isn't the tube. What could the problem be and do I need to send it in for repair? Is it possibly just microphonics with the tubes that can be solved with tube dampers? Could it be the digital cable? The Paradisea 3 is a non-oversampling DAC so is it something associated with non-oversampling? I used to own a 47 Labs Shigaraki and I never had this problem with it, though.

Got bubble wrap? The large bubble type will be best. Slip some under to isolate the DAC. See if that helps. 8)

Some more details on your system might be helpful if you want a remote diagnosis.
