there is tons of webpages around with freeware stuff for palm users...
but then there is a lot of almost identical US$20 stuff as well, which to me is ridiculous!

currently I'm using my PDA as a remote for my HTPC over wireless, that way when it is music and not movies, I can see album covers, play lists etc... without having to startup the projector  
and then all the normal average joe's work related tasks
