SAE Two T-7 AM-FM Tuner / List $430.00 / Now, $125.00 shipped to lower 48 / PayPal IncludedMy 2nd favorite tuner (my fave was a
Mitsubishi Tuner/Preamp DA-C20) I've had...looking for a new home. I live so close to San Francisco now that a good DX'ing tuner is no longer needed.
The
SAE Two T-7 is from circa ~1979 and has a good and useful feature set (as SAE's tended to have). Included are AM, FM Stereo, FM Mono, Hi-Blend, Muting, Level Display and Q-Lock.
It's got digital readout with an analog knob for fine tuning.
I don't hear as much difference with tuners as other components (especially now as there are so few high quality stations about), but this one always had a sound that was nice to listen to.
Someone out there will enjoy it as I have the past 14 years. It was purchased, used, from Sound Images by Hi-Tech in Falls Church, VA when I lived in Washington DC. My Dad used in a very nice system until recently...until he got a Samsung all-in-one 7.1 surround sound system for an integrated video/audio set-up.
So, someone out there - I hope you enjoy it

Or, you can pay
$218.00 (+ shipping) on Audiogon from this guy for the
same tuner:

UPGRADED (HA!) PLUG
Note: In a fit of audiophool insanity about 10 years ago I was persuaded to change out the stock plug for a 'better' one with brass contacts in the hopes of improving sound. Well, you know the story - not a shred of benefit could be heard....but a fancier plug now graces the old SAE tuner.
