I'm setting up a 2nd system and was wondering if anyone is familiar with this Pre ? Looking for good or bad feedback.

i'm not familiar with the x2, but i did own an x2.5 for a brief period. i used it with a plinius sa-102. it was the most sterile, uninvolving sound i've ever heard in my system. there was no synergy or emotion. i guess i'm just not a pass fan, but they do seem to have a decent following so i'd advise to try before you buy.

I owned the Aleph P and while I wouldn't use as strong language as Kevin, I can't really disagree. It was only when mated that with their partnering Aleph 0 amps where things came together and became involving again.

I haven't heard the X2 though. Sorry I can't be of any help
