BellaMax 12AU7 Linestages - Give away pricing
« on: 4 Jul 2010, 04:52 pm »
We have one last BellaMax chassis left. The chassis is done in Waterfall Bubinga with some inperfections in the veneer (some cracking) on one of the sides as shown in the picture below. The main circuit consist of all Riken Ohm resistors and soldered with Mundorf Silver/Gold solder. Coupling caps are Clarity Cap SA. Five sets RCA inputs, two sets RCA outputs. All Cardas RCA jacks.
Power, Volume (non-remote), and source with independant fine adjust controls.

This BellaMax will be completed upon ordering. Considered a "B-Stock" chassis but circuitry is 100%.

Asking $1,295 including shipping to lower 48

The above unit has no more wiggle room in pricing as we are already giving this one away but we want to give another one away at a sweet price.

The unit below

Solid 1" thick Macassar Ebony front panel with Maple veneer on rest of chassis. Ampohm poly power supply capacitors and AmpOhm Oil analog circuit signal capacitors. Front panel tube window also houses the remote control volume sensor. Rear panel has dual mono output gain adjust controls. Unit has 3 line inputs, 1 MM phono input, 1 HT bypass and 2 sets RCA outputs. Remote volume is the Welborne Labs remote stepped attenuator. 1 year warranty. Retail price $4,800

Too bad I have no use for phono.

How does the b-stock unit compare to the unit w/ phono? ie quality of parts, sound quality, etc?

The "B-Stock" unit is not yet completed so you have some options for the coupling caps. I can say that the Clarity Caps are exceptional in these units and the upper end pieces are used in our upper end Purity line.

In conjunction with the Riken resistors and the optional all Poly power supply, it will provide a seductive presentation without sacrificing any of the traits we all look for in a quality component.

Replace the coupling caps with V-Caps and.......well you get the idea.

So what would be the range of prices?

So what would the range of prices?

In addition to the base price of $1,295, additional upgrades would be as follows:

Clarity Cap MR Series - $100
       or
 V-Cap Teflon  $650  $600

 Poly power supply  - $75
