I have recently bought a Melody Astro 50 from Robert at engulfaudio.com and absolutely love it. I even love the remote! This is my first tube amp and actually I wasn't even planning on buying anything but I went to his house with a friend and a few others and listened to an array of music. After I heard it and saw it I was hooked. It has great bass for a tube amp, very detailed and nice soundstage....and getting better.
But my problem is I don't know what to mate with it. I'm thinking about getting the pre Melody P1688 Sig but I need some advice in this respect. Thanks in advance.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Astro 50. (used to be the I880, for those who are familiar with the old model names)  Robert said he barely had it in his setup for two weeks and somebody snatched it up.  I guess it was you.

I am confused.

The Astro Black 50 is an integrated amp so why do you want to mate anything else to it?
