Just been checking out some highendish preamps with HT passthru,I wonder how much of an effect that extra circuit has on the preamp,does it make a noticable difference on our two channel listening.

If it does,perhaps that's why the 26 has no passthru.
ARC REF3,REF-5 have the pass thru,perhaps some people here have a pre with pass thru
and can enlighten me,Thanks.

Hi Drummermitchell,

If I understand your question correctly, HT passthrough on the 2 channel preamp would have zero effect on on 2 channel audio, and it would have a negligable effect on the HT since it would just add a few more inches of cable for the HT L&R signal to pass through.

Thanks John,I don't want to sacrifice my music for the occasional movie.
Of course I like a great movie also.
So if we don't lose anything(2 channel)then for me,I believe I need a pre with a pass thru.
If I had more room I wouldn't mind swapping cables with my prepro,but is a real hassle.

Waiting on the 3.0 to see what she'll be like compared to the 26 for two channel and go from there.
four paydays perhaps she'll be out(Sept.)I hope .
