If funds permit I would like to try this integrated amp sometime in the near future.
I am not sure if it was shown at 2009 RMAF but if it was can anyone comment on its sound?

(I could not find anything on Jolida's official website and this is one of two links with some additional information)
Jolida FX10 info & price

Thanks

Yes he does.

I just wonder how this thing sounds?????
All my speakers/drivers are very efficient and this cute integrated shouldn't have any problem driving them.
A bit over $400 seems like a nice deal IMO.

I've been eyeing this one up as well, but it seems a little too cheap to be good.  I hate it when I think that way.  I get a bit nervous when the focus seems to be on looks and marketing to ipod users.  Maybe Wally will donate one for a demo tour....not.  :)

I doubt Walter would go for it ...... but maybe Jolida itself would be interested?
Looks and marketing might be deceiving and it might turn out to be more then meets the eye.

Mariuz,

Mike from JoLida had them at the show.

At $450, I was pretty impressed. They are only 10wpc and Mike was driving a little pair of Nola mini-monitor speakers. The sound was nice and clean, not veiled at all from what I heard with my all too brief time in the room. Then again, I've not heard the Nola's before so my impressions may be off by a bit. Its a very cool product and even has a remote  :thumb:

Oh BTW, shortly Mike is going to be introducing a $110 USB DAC to mate to the FX10. If you look close at the picture, just to the right of the amps is a black box with a blue LED. That's the DAC.

Tell you what, let me get a hold of Mike and see if I can't get one in for a listen and quick write up. He mentioned that these things are selling like hotcakes. Hopefully he has one in stock.

Regarding the too cheap to be good thought process, JoLida gear really does defy our conventional thought process. Sure, it may not be a Manley Mahi but it sure isn't a $30 T amp either. Most of Mikes stuff preforms significantly better than its price point. I still think the factory modified 102b is one of the best sounding EL84 amps on the market...not to mention its only (like) $750.

...just my $.02

Please tell me that all that blue lighting at the base of the tubes can be disabled.  I just want to see the soft amber glow of the tubes themsleves.

I don't want my tube amp to look like a 15 year old's gaming computer.

Steve,

I don't know but I'll find out...eventually. I've seen a design or two that incorporates the LED as part of the circuit. Not sure if JoLida designed it that way

This was my impression as well but, like Scott F., I had not heard the Nola's before either.

It sure sounded nice, I had no idea what it's price was until long after I left the room.

We will have one for the July Rave. Set up with Omega speakers. Report to follow. Initial listen pretty good. A bit bass shy but real nice top end. Breaking in as we speak.
