First post . Hello all.

Had the opportunity to listen carefully to an Icon HDP DAC
Sweet.

Wonder if  there are any disadvantages using the HDP as a preamplifier
for  2 Adams A7x active nearfieldmonitors  in my HTPC rig.

Sure, this is one of the main purpose for HDP - high performance computer integration to active speaker or home theater system.

I'm using one with a pair of Ref 8 for my desktop system.  Driving a pair of Mark & Daniel Minis.  So far, so good.  And AKG-702 sometimes as well.
