Salk Construction Photos?
« on: 28 Apr 2010, 07:28 pm »
Awhile ago I remember seeing various photos documenting the Salk speaker construction process, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Anybody know where to find it?

Thanks,
Dan

The link is no longer available on www.salksound.com.  I seem to remember Jim took it off because he changed some of his construction methods.  I saved it though and the page is still available.  :eyebrows:

That is correct.  The page is no longer linked from our web site since we no longer build cabinets using the methods shown on the page.

We now use all mitered joints, dado'd braces and one piece side panels just to name a few.  Also, our methods of creating parts have changed as well. At some point when we get into our new shop space and get settled (June), I will try and take new photos and put something together.

I've been wanting to see how the transmission line was set up - I almost took one of my HT2TL's to work to x ray it, but knowing my luck, it would mess up one of the capacitors in the crossover or something like that  :P Not to mention packing, unpacking, repacking, and the weight of the thing!  :green:
