I bought a Stratos with the cap upgrade from Klauss in November.  My wife wanted me to return it or sell it on ebay because it would not fit into our cabinet.  After much soul searching, I called Klauss to see if he would take a return.  He said that he would gladly take it back and suggested that a Symphonic amp would work because it is only 10 inches deep.  He agreed to build me one from parts he had for only a small extra charge.

The amp is beautiful!  It is chrome on all sides and weighs at least as much as much as the Stratos.  It does not have the lighted logo, but you cannot have everything.  The sound is wonderful!

If you ever need a great amp that will fit into just about any cabinet that please your significant other, give Klauss a call!

Love to see a picture of the new amp if you have one. No question that Klaus is the man when it comes to customer service.

Well done craig223.

I talked to Klaus on Sunday. Yes, Sunday! I was going to buy the Tempest for my next upgrade. After chatting with Klaus it was apparent my next upgrade should be speakers.

Sooooo………… my twins should soon land along with the Tempest.

Hey, how’d Klaus do that?
Klaus, Maybe you better send those flowers. If my wife doesn’t put them on display… She may put them on my gravesite! :jester:

He never ceases to go the extra mile when it comes to customer service.  Even though he always seems frazzled he's always willing to talk, answer questions and basically just be decent instead of coming off as a salesman.  He has clearly put everything he has into Odyssey and deserves all the success and reputation his hard work has gotten him.

Think of "frazzled" as "frayed" or "unraveled"...  are you coming apart at the edges? :)

what part of the ex upgrade made you do it-do you have a tt :?:

its a pleasure to deal with a owner of a company you buy from, but when the guy is just plain honest about what fits your needs and doesnt take every dollar you own -well

i cant wait for my standard temp  est

(tt?? I hope you mean turntable). If that is the case then no, I don't have a tt. Vinyl is just not my cup of tea. Since my Tempest is a little bit old and it need some major upgrade so might as well go all out with the extreme upgrade :-)

What is included in the extreme upgrade and how much does it cost?  Has anyone compared the stock and extreme?

That is the same impression I got too. However in my case, I don't do vinyl so no need for upgrade in that department. But Klaus is going to upgrade my mainboard with the one from Symphonic Line :-).

So it's the best bet to call him to see if you really need the upgrade.
