My winter project :eyebrows:

These pics are in my gallery, I'm hoping the captions show up? In case they don't this started out as a Rega 250, I stripped, drilled and bead blasted the arm, installed Audiomods upgrade kit. Mounted on a NOS Systemdek 2X2 w/Goldring cart.

Thanks Steve,
Stressful might be a better word! Not knowing how durable the arm is, pressing in the axle carrier was a bit nerve wracking, but it went smooth! The Litz arm wire is awful fine, the cartridge tags seemed massive hanging on it, I was concerned about breaking a wire. Jeff does a really good job with making the kit user friendly. After preparing the arm, it's basically assembling everything.

Joe, the arm looks great. How long did it take to do it? I see you are using a Goldring what model is it? Is there a big difference in the sound since you modded the arm? I know that I am loving my arm. I think it is a great buy.

Thanks Scott,
When I first heard the arm, I knew I had to have one.
On my first play I noticed imaging like I've never had before. Then the more I listened, I noticed more and more information being extracted from the grooves, cymbals, triangles, etc slowly fading into darkness. I can't wait till I get it broke in! :D

Thanks Sturgus,
I don't think I have ever heard a stock 250?  I have heard the same table with a Rega 300, there's just something *magical* about Jeff's arm mod(s)! Jeff told me he did a lot of the initial design / development with a Goldring 1012? I'm using the 1042.
Believe it or not, I previously had a phobia about working on tonearms
