What  would you recommend for B&W 803S,805S and HTM3S set up?Its 50/50 for HT and music listening.Need a 2channel power amp and pre amp for a dedicated music listening. At the same time need a processor for HT purposes.Pre amp with HT bypass would be nice.Room size is 15`x 20`.What speaker cable and i/c`s should i go for. This is a major revamped of my system.Thank you.

For 2 channel my first recommendation would be Bryston BP6 + 4B SST2 or higher in the line.

If you're in Canada check it against the Anthem Statement P2.

If you're in USA check it against the Parasound A21 (warning this one heats a lot so if you don't have the clearance forget it).

For speaker cables - the thicker gauge the better. Bryston will provide you 9 gauge good cable at $5/foot, which is a good deal compared to other offers (except those from Home Depot).

With your B&W's at least the 4B SST2.  With regards to IC's, I have tried many, but finally decided on Brystons and I'm very happy with them.  Speaker cable - I've tried 10 gauge zip and other popular cable/wire's but I found that in my situation I get the best sound from Furutech's bi-wire cable.  It can be had for about $21.00 per meter.  But it is a pain to work with!

Hi Deftone, there are several possibilities in combining them, but unfortunately I'm not any wiser than you when it comes to HT. Dunno how much power is sent to the center channel these days. if not much, then a 9B + 4B would be interesting to explore too. Like in you get the 9B first and if it works well in 2 channel then that's all you need. If not you get a beefier amp for L/R. With this approach it is possible to separate your HT into 2 systems later if you wish (i.e. you move the L/R and the 4B to a different room and replace them with bookshelves speakers in the HT).

Same schedule as Duke Nukem Forever i.e. "when it's done".  :jester:

I concur.

I use them on my Dynaudio speakers with 4BSST2 and it works very well compared to other brands. I have Cardas Golden Ref XLR IC between the pre and amp...but I suggest you conduct a home trial before coming to any conclusion. What works for me may not be your cup of tea
