That's a lotta questions. Yes, I liked it well enough but the whole family uses this system and it was not as universally convenient as the JRDG Concentra integrated it replaced. So I bought a JRDG Capri preamp and 102 amp.
I'm the second owner of the T-61. I'm pretty sure it has not been modded. There's a seal on the bottom that has not been broken. The first owner was a guy named Bob Magnetti, if you know him. He swore by it and I have to say it is one of the greatest audio bargains I've ever seen. These are not unknown but for some reason they just haven't caught fire. I'm not sure of the age but I believe Bob used it less than a year and I only used it about 4-5 months. It comes with a remote and little metal receivers for the three footer cones.
It is a well made, good-sounding tube pre with excellent factory support. I know this because I had a problem with one of my mono amps. When I sent it in, Vlad called to tell me it was a mess inside because of the way it was modded. He fixed it up and asked me to send him the other amp so he could "fix" it too. He wants his products to look and perform at their best.
To tell the truth I might have preferred to keep it if my family weren't involved. I'm going to keep them instead so you can have the T-61.
