JT: Quick ? on Soft-Start circuit in SST2 series

Does your soft-start cuircuit bypass once in-rush current is dissapated or does the incoming current remain "choked" ???

and what are the transformers rated at in the 3B SST2?  (400W???)

HI,

The soft-start cuircuit completely disengages after the ramp-up, to preserve the best-possible interface between the power-supply and amplifier circuitry.  This is the only way to get the kind of accuracy in transients and heavy current supply that Bryston aplifiers are known for.

The total transformer complement in the 3B SST2 is rated at 550W.
