Is this [Frank Sinatra - The Capitol Years] available on vinyl?

Not that I am aware of.

whoa! that's a lot of phish! :) unreal. what a fan! amazing to see some of these lists, esp. those that have bands i've never heard of. Steeleye Span!?! i'll have to look them up. i tend to delve into the catalogs of artists i like after making a news discovery... maybe this will lead to another buying blitz. keep them coming, folks...

Phish is one of the best bands in terms of making their music available to their fans.  If you go to livephish.com. you will see their extensive catalog.  As part of my 375 albums, I have every single show from the entire 2009 tour - start to finish!  :-)

I wish other bands did such a good job of making high quality live shows available.

I know off the top of my head i have every note played by Charlie Parker that was ever issued on lp and cd.I had many 78's i sold off years ago. Also cassette and open reel material unissued,as of yet.I am pretty much complete on John Coltrane,Bill Evans,Lennie Tristano,Warne Marsh,Tubby Hayes,Sonny Criss,Paul Desmond,Thelonious Monk,Art Blakey,Billie Holiday,Lester Young,Earl Hines,Louis Armstrong.Close to complete on Duke Ellington and working on Count Basie and SOME of the later Miles Davis and Ornette Coleman.I don't want to forget the Blue Note folks...Donald Byrd,Wayne Shorter....and Yes,Sonny Rollins. No way could i ever have started this collection any time within the last decade.Muddy Waters...complete.There is more great Jazz on cd now than i would have ever dreamed of 30 years ago.Records i thought would never get reissued are showing up now on cd.What a great time to get interested in Jazz, there is so much from every era.Current Jazz is intent on repeating everything that has come before it,and has pretty much lost the continuing zest for evolution that was it's hallmark from 1920 to 1970.We had a great 50 years.................

I have every Todd Rundgren album - Every original, every reissue (all Castles and all K2 "mini LP's"), every greatest hits, and every original radio show ("King Biscuit" / "In the Studio", etc.) on CD. Also have all Laserdiscs and DVD's. I have every shiny disc I'm aware of  8)

71 discs (all originals - no rips), I'm not even including his work with Utopia. I even have a 4-song 3" mini CD.

Not sure about the exact numbers, but it's probably a close call between Zappa and Genesis, including all boots.

I also have quite a few Gentle Giant disks, including boots, 'post mortem' releases, CD's with bonus tracks, etc.

More, more, more. Let's see more of who tops your music collection.

It's very interesting to learn what AudioCirclers have been collecting and listening to through their systems. Some of you are intense!. Having the music back in the discussion at AC is always a good thing. The gear plays music. The posts above, so far show a fair amount similar tastes in music.

This thread made me recall an online app I came across when I first started with the music site, last.fm.  Instead of charts and numbers StreamGraph visually depicts your music listening habits (last.fm logs the music played on your computer automatically, in the background). So, I guess, you would be able to see see how much you listen to that artist that takes up the largest section of your music collection.

The last year of music I listened to via iTunes

Detail view of the full graphic above.

Stream Graph and now the newer lastgraph, basically plots a listener's group/artist plays over time, assigning the group a color. Of course there's more to it but the result is a pretty cool visual that allows you to see your listening history.

I used: http://lastgraph.aeracode.org/ to create my visuals

Out of the 900 CDs I have: Miles (17); Coltrane (13); Dylan (10) ... :| how boringly predictable. But I do not ever keep discs which I would not play on any given day. So none for historical purposes, or ones which have only one or a few good cuts, or just to possess them. I keep my CD garden seriously weeded, so to speak  :icon_lol:.

I am guessing my top # of albums goes NIN, I have all the halo's up till TDS era and then only full albs thereafter.  But TDS I have in SACD, redbook and Vinyl.

Others which I have many are...
Porcupine Tree
Built to Spill
QOSTA/Kyuss/Desert Sessions/Eagles of Death Metal/Them Crooked Vultures
Radiohead/Thom Yorke/Johnny Greenwood
Wilco
Jason Molina/Songs Ohia/The Magnolia Electric Company

Maybes
Calexico
Tool/A Perfect Circle
The White Stripes

Most all of my favorite artists havent' put out enough material to be large collections.

Lots of Bowie on the classic rock side.  Brubeck and Jeff Linsky in jazz.  Ana Caram and Badi Assad on the Latin end.  Loads of soundtracks. In symphonic music, Shostakovich symphonies, plus loads of Mozart.  Pink Martini on the eclectic side!
