Great printer deal @ OfficeMax

If you have a local OfficeMax chain, they've got a helluva deal on printers right now. I just bought an HP psc 1350 for $71 (after the instant rebate)

This is a scanner/fax/printer combo with 4800 dpi photo capability; this one costs $150 everywear from BB to Wal-Mart. Print quality is about as good as anything I've seen under $150 or so.

I haven't tried comparing it to my Epson for photo printing yet.

The HP is worth it even if you only want a scanner.

Are you sure this has fax capabilities? I just see Print/scan/copy. Nice price though.

When I hit "print" and the menu comes up, "FAX" is the 2nd option. I haven't actually tried to fax with it yet, but I've used two samples of the model below the 1350 and they both fax.

I looked closely, and this isn't even a refurb like you sometimes get at this price. They have 'em on sale for 79.99 with a $10 instant rebate.

I bought a chip resetter for my Epson ink carts but I haven't figured out which kit refills it yet. Basically I want to use my Epson R300 just for CD & DVD printing and use the HP for regular stuff. The HP is very cheap & simple to refill (only 2 carts vs 6 tanks in the Epson, with no chips to reset.

most modems have a fax program-mine in my cheap pc does-
i wanted a stand alone fax
