dumb question?

Ok, I ordered an H frame kit from Chris Swiger and he sent me a W frame. I thought he was gonna swap me, but so far no word on it.

Anyway, assuming I'm stuck w/ the "W", how do you screw in the drivers? Looks like an really tight fit in there. Besides the fact, I wanted the option to upgrade to the V1 at some point, which was why I wanted the "H" in the first place.... was ease of driver placement Do you need some sort of "L" shaped phillips screwdriver?

Anyone? Do you install the drivers and then put on a removable lid? Prepaint all the parts before assembly, then glue together w/ the drivers in place? Call me stupid (been done before!) but I just don't see how you can access the top screws, once the thing is assembled.

How much access room is there?  There are a number of 'L' offset screwdrivers available, as well as some ratcheting models, although they usually require a bit more clearance room than the fixed models.

I put a small Allen headed bolt through the top two holes from the back side and held a nut (from the front side) with a pair of needle nose pliers with a curved tip.

Thanks, I may just try to do an H myself. Should be able to cut the parts w/ a quality circular saw and rip guide. Plus I know from my experience w/ my flat baffles, the driver hole doesn't have to be super precise as the large flange covers a lot of sins.

Corndog, I'll keep you posted.  If I make my own H, I'll make you a good deal on the W. It is cut w/ very high precision......just not what I wanted.

Is there any SONIC advantage to the W over the H?
