So Larry, if I'm reading that right, it'd be $3,200 for a M1616 w/8ch @ 160w into 4 ohms.

It looks like it's $800 for the PS/Case, and $600 per stereo amp module.

For that kind of cheese, I think I'd rather go with something like a used Dreadnought II. Not that I've heard either of them...

I don't disagree.  This is why I did not sign on yet. I asked if they would lower the price and they did not think that they would need to.

It is an interesting company though. Cool design and they won awards for it.

I think other companies will be coming out with other "digital" amps soon and you might be able to get into one of those.

Maybe it's more than worth the $, I don't know.

I wouldn't mind hearing one in my setup. But to drop that kind of cash on something from a new company...

Anyways... Like I said earlier, new amps are almost at the bottom of my list. So maybe by the time I start to seriously look into new amps, there'll be somthing out that's not so hard on the wallet.

That's a lot of coin for this stage in the game, perhaps.  But intiguing nonetheless.

Like I said....I agree.

Maybe the next go around the pricing will drop.

Ikosova, Thanks for the price on the DAD-M100pro monoblocks.
About $600 for a pair of digital monoblocks is pretty cost effective power.
Do you know of a source of information about the architecture used in these amps. Does the amp have a switching power supply or does it have negative feedback and a conventional power supply. Thanks for the quick
answer.       Scotty

Scotty ,

I have the brochure with block diagram that I can fax to you but it looks like a :

Biphase conversion power amp.and

(fmp-001+MOS-FET)
Resonace automatic control system full resonance type
very low noise switching power block(200 khz fixed)

I can fax you the diagram since I am not used to looking at these.

I hope this helps.

I don't have fax capability, but your description tells me it has a switchmode power supply and possibly an H Bridge output. I was looking at these as something to hotrod with power supply upgrades. I can seldom leave anything alone for long. If I want to play with them I will probably have to wait until after tax time. Scotty
