I have a very nice RM-200 MkII for sale.  It is special made triode version 40w/channel made by Roger with his own hand wound tansformers.  Excellent like new condition.  See my listing on Audiogon.
It drove VonSchweikert VR4's and large Focals with no problem, very musical.

Thanks.....Frank

Can you tell me how this amp sounds vs a regular RM 200.  I feel this amp has moved around a lot in the audiogon market so I'm wondering why it has not found a good home.  I have a typical RM 2oo which I am happy with but has too much power for my current speakers but I do not want to lose my current sound.

The RM200 is no longer for sale.  I have sent it back to Roger for an upgrade to drive my VR7se.

Thanks.....SoundsGood

The one and only Triode Gypsy RM-200 Mk has come home, been converted to a CLASS-A 40 watt pentode and sounds so good I hate to send it back, but of course I will. Several persons and one dealer have listened to it and feel it's my best sounding amp yet.

cclcj is indeed correct about too much power. If you are using little power because you have efficient speakers or your listening level is below 100 db you don't need 100 watts. It has been long known that lower power amps sound better. I can confirm this both by listening and design parameters.

For those of you who have a MK I or find one at a good price we can do the conversion for $900 on a MK I or II. I suggest the MK I because you can likely find one for less.
