DIY Elemental design subwoofers

Hi fellas,

Don't know if any of you have heard of Elemental designs, I just discovered them this evening, while reading Audioholics magazine.

This design which is a ported unit using a 12 inch woofer:

and this design using dual 13 monster woofers in a sealed enclosure seem to of very high value. Check it out. Everything is included for the kit prices including drivers, plate amp, enclosure and shipping. I'm especially interested in the dual sealed sub, it looks like a beast. Here is a picture of the driver:

Anybody heard of them?

Anand.

About 6 or 7 years ago I used one of their 15" subs in a sealed box in my Suburban:

I powered it using a Alpine V12 digital sub amp. I was very happy with the result, it was a very clean, musical sub that had a decent amount of kick. Their auto sound deadening stuff was a good deal too. I would definitely consider their products if I was in the market.

Oh yeah... that cab you linked to might damage your house. I have an 18" sub for my bass guitar and it can move serious amounts of air.

I just discovered them recently as well and ordered two of their A5s-300 subs. I won't get them for a few weeks though because they are so busy. I'm looking forward to hear how they sound. Their customer service rep has been very good at responding to all of my questions.
