At this point, it looks like the Broncos and Jags will be the AFC wild cards. Broncos need to win half of their remaining 4 games and Oakland and KC both have to visit Denver, so that looks pretty promising since Denver blew them both out on the road this season. The other two games are Colts and Eagles, both on the road - much less optimism warranted there.
Parity was the goal, right? I notice that out of 16 teams in the AFC, only 6 have a record above .500. In the NFC there are 7 teams batting above .500 out of the 16 contenders. Doesn't that sound pretty imbalanced? Is there any more parity now than there was when the league started trying to engineer it in?
