You know what they are. If you are in the DC area you are welcome to audition them. They are in Great condition and the woofers have been refoamed. Just have too many speakers. Walnut veneer.

Ahhhhhh, the Advent "bookshelf" speakers. They make great college speakers.

Pretty much indestructible even when you blast them loud from what I remember. I remember them as the party speakers.

My first audiophile type speakers, and in many respects among my favorites. Unfortunately my set went through too many poorly packed moves/yound children mischief and I passed them on sometime in the 80's.

They weren't just college blasters, had a very mellow sound for folk music. If only I could persuade my wife I'd be on a road trip to Washington to check these out.
