Customer service at its best! - ZU

I recently attended a Zu house party in Allentown PA. I am a Zu Presence owner and a long time Zu fan. I spent a few hours there listening and talking  with Sean and Ron from Zu. I have had my speakers for about a year, and have been quite happy with them but was sharing my concerns that I don't think I'm getting everything that they are capable of. After sketching my room and discussing different placements they asked me where I  live and do I mind, if  possible one of us stops over tomorrow on our way home.  With me living an hour away and Sean flying back to Utah and Ron heading to Tennesse it just seemed too much to expect. Well sure enough Ron shows up at my house the next morning, spent about an hour and half dialing in the speakers  to where I feel like I just made a component upgrade. So I just wanted to put this out here. There was nothing for them to gain  other than to make a customer extremely happy. Obviously they can't do this for everybody but it is a good example of how they treat their customers, It's not about the bottom line. There are a lot of audio store owners that would'nt do that!
So anyway if your thinking  about buying some  zu speakers or any for that matter and there is a Zu party in your area get there for some good sounds and conversation and no sales pitch.  Thanks again ZU GUYS

Great story!  :thumb: Wish I knew about the house party...Allentown is an easy drive for me. I don't own any Zu gear but I've always liked whatever I've heard, and they have also been quick and friendly on the e-mail front.

I have been a Zu customer since they came out with the Wax cables as their top-of-the-line speaker cable.  The guys at Zu are awesome and their products have all rocked my world.  Currently saving my pennies for some definitions!!!!

Hey Todd,

To answer your question, he repositioned them and tweaked the subwoofer settings. Huge improvement! We also found the source of something resonating in my room, which I've been trying to find for years!

I do not own anything Zu YET, but I can vouch for the guys! I discovered them several years ago and contacted Sean about visiting the factory for a demo. Well, when I got there, I got WAY more than the tour of the factory. We did that, and then I ended up running around with Sean on a few errands. We ended up at the Kimber factory where I had the chance to meet Ray and have a private demo of his sweet IsoMike setup with the 4 HUGE Soundlab speakers....unreal.

Then, since the "showroom" at the Zu factory was removed for more manufacturing space, we actually went to Sean's house and I sat in his basement and we spent 2 1/2 hours listening to anything and everything on his Druid system. Vinyl and CDs both. I cannot say enough about how great these guys are.

I am hoping to be able to snatch me up either a pair of their new speakers (Soul) or possibly a used set of Druids in the very near future. I have been drooling for some Zu since that day. Incredible people and incredible products.

On a side note, I also visited the Wilson Audio factory the same day (we are a dealer), and talk about impressive. Their finishing/paint department is insane!!!! :) But its Zu for me.  aa

Yep, the Zu guys are great.  So you're a Wilson dealer and you'd rather have Zu?  Impressive.  But count on getting a snarky email from John Giolas very soon, as Wilson monitors the forums very closely.  Any anti-Wilson sentiment will be punished to the fullest!

Jeff,

When you put it that way, it almost sounds like I am some kind of heretic. :) All the Wilson guys are great!!  If I could ever justify the expense, I would be happy to purchase some Wilsons. :) As for watching my back, bring it on.  :P
