Where are the Alpha Reviews?

Hi guys, I'm really tired of searching the net and unfortuantly the GR site dosent have a list going either.

Where are the reivews of these speakers?  I have read a few things here and there, but still nothing comprehensive.

Thanks for your help  :)

I posted some impressions here a while back: Gary's GR Research Impressions. I auditioned pretty well the whole range Danny had at the time. He's upgraded every speaker since. I'm working on a pair of Alpha's now. Need to finish veneering. It's been a two-year project, but hopefully in the next month or two...

Thanks, I was over there but I missed it.  Nice review.  I'm really enjoying the idea of going to 2ch with the bass extension that these  provide.

Of all the people who have bought Alpha LS kits I would say that about 3/4 of them are not posters on any of the forums.

I am shipping another Alpha LS kit out today, to Porter Rico.

Here are a few links to that maybe few have seen:

This one you may all have seen:

Ryan has really shared his experiences in building and listening impressions of his Alpha LS's.

If you do searches on the various forums you will get lots of discussion about these speakers.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks all, much appreciated.

Are there any response graphs out there?  I'm curious to see those.  Now if only the weather would break.......

Danny, one of my goals is to get you an automatic spell-check program.  I hope you get the country correct on the shipping labels.
BTW, I'm ready to order a pair of T-2's.

That's funny Hank.

Actually all of my outgoing messages do go through a program that alerts my of my many typo's.

Funny thing is that some typo's slip through because I spell something else.

Looks like porter is one of those words.

Don't worry, on the packing label it just said PR and the zip.

BTW, tell your lab coat guys at work that they are a little late. That thing they were working on to produce a speaker that doesn't move any air was done many years ago.

They are commonly sold as underwater speakers.  :rotflmao:

OH, LORDY!   Danny is acquiring a sense of humor!  Or, should I say, is honing his sense of humor.  I'll try to find time to call you soon to order the T-2's.  Looks like you've got a couple of guys building Alpha LS's currently.   I think the world next needs a less intrusive line source - new drivers coming to market this year will make this an interesting venture to be sure.
Underwater speakers are cool.  I'm a SCUBA diver and would enjoy some tunes underwater

Hey Chris, Maybe you'll have some goodies there for you not long after you return from volcano chasing.

Have fun with it and if you need anything else just let me know.

Hank, I knew you would get a kick out of that. I remembered you were a SCUBA driver.

Can you belive they make underwater speakers that can cover a range from 100Hz to 10kHz? I wonder how good they sound?

They're also called sonars :-)
