Exact Audio Copy Using Accuraterip?
« on: 28 Nov 2009, 02:52 am »
I have read on the forums and at the EAC website which says Accuraterip is included in the download but I do not know how to determine if it is installed and/or functioning.  The Accuraterip site does not make it any clearer.  Any help?

Thanks,

James

Looking at my EAC copy I see within the " Database" menu, at the very bottom, "Send Accurate Rip Results..."

Do you have this option?

I checked and this option is available.  When I click on it it opens up a dialog box and says Submit AccurateRip Results but it says:

Submitting   0 discs 0 tracks

This seems strange it would say this if it were actually doing some type of comparison.

I thought there was to be some type of "active" comparison of each track individually as it is being burned.  I had played around with this program about 18 months ago and thought it worked differently.

When a rip is finished I get a dialog box showing the Accurate Rip results.
It looks like this;

This particular track wasn't in the Accurate DB (figures I would pick an obscure CD  :duh: )but if it was you would see this info.;

    Peak level 100.0 %
     Track quality 100.0 %
     Accurately ripped (confidence 163)  [16B9BEFB]
     Copy OK

Do you see this when a rip is finished?

Once you rip a CD you can upload your rip info to the Accurate Rip DB. That's what that option is about.

It looks like you have Accurate Rip it in your copy of EAC.

Edit... Looks like you turn on Accurate Rip in the EAC->Drive-> Offset/Speed menu.

Accurate Rip is turned on in the Offset/Speed menu.

I do not get a dialog box that looks like yours which shows:

"Status and Error Messages" - Actually once the rip is completed on the last song the drive opens and it returns to the main EAC dialog box.

As it is ripping it is in a pop-up "Extracting Audio" dialog box that goes through each track and says:

Copy Track 1
Reading Track 1
Copy Ok
Compress Track by External Program

It does this all the way up to the last track.  Perhaps this is working correctly and I just have a newer version than you (I just downloaded two days ago) which does not have your "Status Report".

There are a LOT of setting choices within EAC and I seem to remember an earlier thread in which people wer showing their configuration pages. I will try to locate that as well because I am interested in various set-ups in the Naming Scheme for the file name.

Thanks,

James
