A few months ago Selah built for me a pair of Tanzanites, S6's and Sardonyx which I paired with Emotiva's electonics and Oppo 983 dvd. I just bought a new analog preamp and cd player from Emotiva and just wanted to report the Selah speakers were up to the task and more of reproducing the upgraded resolution and dynamics. From the first note I was absolutely floored and pleased beyond words. Just goes to show you don't have to spend a king's ransom to get WAY good sound. aa

Are you using a DAC or just the one internal to the CD player?

Agreed. I also have the Tanzanites, Sardonyx and I in my case S7's. Also have the Whomp sub. Currently they are not ideally setup and just the front speakers, Tanzanites, are in use in my home office. I've also recently installed Paul's PreDAC in line from the computer. At this time the Nuforce processor is still connected to a Gemstone amp.

Using the internal dacs of the cd player. For $319 it's unbelievable how good this thing sounds.
