FS: Modded Onix CD-5

I have a "refurbished" Onix CD-5 to sell.  It's only got about 1 hour of use, but I got it missing parts and had to replace them and get it working again.

This is the UnderwoodHif version with Level 1+ mods done by Parts ConneXion.  It sold new for $870 a couple of years ago.  Here's a summary of the mods from the UnderwoodHifi site:

Quote
The following details wthe Onix X-CD5 Level-1 mod [$400 + freight retrofit; $750 + freight new preinstalled machines - add Burr Brown OPA-627 custom opamp board for the Level-1+ and $870 + freight]:

10 x Japanese Riken Ohm 1/2 watt (gold-plated leads) Carbon resistors in the signal path.
8 x BlackGate Standard, N and C grade electrolytic capacitors around the coupling caps and power supply
2 x Multicap PPMFX grade metalized polypropylene capacitors in the signal path
8 x SF4007 Vishay-Telefunken diodes to the bias supply
2 x sheets of Soundcoat dampening material applied to the internal chassis
4 x EAR compliant Sorbothane isolation feet installed on the bottom of the machine
1 pr. of Vampire RCA jacks (OFC copper body, gold-plated) installed on the back plate
2 ft. DH Labs pure silver, Teflon dielectric output wire in place of the cheap stock wire
TRT Silver content Wonder Solder throughout.
Ca. 3 hours labor to do the mod
The factory approves the mod and the 3-year Onix factory warranty is good on modified players.

Sonic changes of the Level-1 modification
The unit is quieter, blacks are blacker, resolving more low level detail and ambience. It is smoother but more detailed while at the same time more dynamic. The midrange is more natural with less electronic glare. This midrange performance is what you typically spend big bucks to get in solid state machines. Imaging is improved and more defined while front to back depth is improved. Bass is improved. It has fuller weight, authority and seems to go lower.

The fully modified machine is competitive with anything under $2,000

Note, this is the Level 1+ version with the OPA627 opamp upgrades.  (that was one of the things missing so I bought and installed new ones)  The only cosmetic defect I can find is a scuff on the top cover towards the back.  Here are some pictures of it:

The front:

The back, showing the gold plated vampire RCA jacks:

The scuff on top:

Inside, showing the upgraded Riken resistors, Blackgate and Multicap capacitors, and empty sockets where I later installed a pair of OPA627 op-amps:

This is not being sold in my capacity as an Onix Dealer.  It is a discontinued model that I got as-is and then fixed, so think of it like any other used gear purchase.  Onix will not warranty it.  I can tell you that I tested it and it works great.

$375 shipped CONUS.  Non-CC paypal preferred, but if you don't have that let me know and we'll work something out.
