This is a fantastic album!  I actually was skeptical b/c some of the band's solo stuff with others is just plain strange (see Oysterhead).  This disc is great.  Kottke is GREAT!  And Gordon keeps up with him every step.  Very well recorded too.  

Bery cool, and sweet effects here.  There is one track where Kottke plays "a piece of paper".  Seriously.  

I highly recommend this!

I collect live concerts and have quite a few from the brief tour Kottke and Gordon did in late 2002.  I actually think this music comes off better live than on the studio album-if only because you get Leo Kottke's full explanation of songs like Car-Carrier Blues.  But this is a good album.

If you like this album I strongly reccommend picking up some solo Leo Kottke albums-you will love those.  Or better still, catch him in concert.

You MIGHT be able to find some Gordon & Kottke (Gordon comes first, he has the name recognition) on furthernet or etree.  I'm not too sure, I use bit torrent almost exclusively now-its much, much faster.

I have eight shows of theirs (seven from 11/02, one from Bonnaroo '03, which is decidedly inferior) and can do B&P (blanks and postage) for any circle members who are interested.  Drop me a PM.

I have a couple solo Leo shows as well.  

I saw Leo Kottke perform in August or September, and he mentioned that he and Gordon are getting back together to make another album.
