Here's a couple of pictures of my new babies standing on my gear. (these shots would make some of the GAS guys faint) I haven't figured out how to protect everything, but I'll take some suggestions.  The big boy is Chet and the little girl is Ella.  Ella only weighs 7 pounds so she's not much of a concern, but Chet tips the scales at 14 pounds and that makes the turntable lid moan and groan when he's sitting on it.  Good thing the Droplet 5.0 weighs 50 pounds or they would knock it on the floor.  I'm taking the A/C unit out this weekend, so maybe they won't be so interested in bird watching from that window.

I think Chet's butt turned the cd player on in the second shot.  Yeah, Bob, I knew you'd like that shot.

Looks like a good idea for a cat gym.  :o Who'da thought audio gear would be so versatile. Could be a real moneymaker at PetSmart!! The heck with all those carpeted tube thingies. :thumb:

I'd let them out side and shut the door till spring I mean, and let them chase the birds.

Well if you think about it, it may not be such a bad idea. Adding mass to the top of equipment has been proven to increase sound quality by dampening. Setting a big furry bag of liquid would be so much better than simply plopping a brick on your CD player. The liquid (guts) would also absorb the mechanical vibrations so much better than an inert hunk of metal or wood would.

Mark, I think you can honestly say you've got an audiophile approved cat.  aa
