OHM Walsh speakers
« on: 8 Nov 2009, 11:13 pm »
Hi all
Any information, insights or comments would be welcomed.
I have an opportunity to get a pair of OHM Walsh 3XO?s.
Does anyone have much experience with these?
Has anyone been inside ?the can??
The surrounds rot and OHM charges about $200/ speaker for a low end rebuild.
Is the speaker so unique I can?t re-foam them normal way?
Any idea how long the surrounds last?
OHM says the ?chair rollers? they sit on are fine and they say there is no need for spikes or any other mod.
Should I build a better base?
Thanks in advance
I would also like to cast a vote to keep this weather year around.

my old man has the smaller ones.. nice and forgiving... plays rock very well.. and a soundstage no matter were you sit... but if you are looking for pinpoint imaging then these are not for you..

I've not had any experience with the Ohms but I'm with you 100% on the weather.
