« on: 11 Aug 2009, 01:29 am »
As my Allnic H-1200 Phono stage is sitting here unopened ,simply because my motorbike takes up my spare time at the moment,I have decided to sell this little gem...There was a decent review on 6moons,look it up...I have sold quite a few items here, prefer to give members here first option and I have excellent Audiogon and e-bay rating...It will be ,as usual, a "No worries" deal from Australia to you !!!!
I am asking US$1050-. including delivery !!!

I have been living with the Allnic H-1200 phono stage a few months now and thought i would post some findings to the group. The company
seems to be best known for their LCR phono stages; this is the bottom
of their phono stage hierarchy and does NOT use LCR technology.
i have found this unit to be highly musical with outstanding dynamics
and inner detail. Presence is a word that i would use to describe its character. this is a phono stage that puts you in the middle of the musical performance. Guitars and vocals rule! Bass is good and solid.

As for comparisons, i consider the Pass Ono and the EAR 834P to be
nice phono stages. i found the Pass Xono to be in another league
in detail retrieval and musical presentation. i preferred the H-1200
even over the Xono for its presence and presentation, while still
retaining all the inner detail and dynamics of the Xono.

the H-1200 does not have all the 'adjustability' of some phono stages, and maybe it is just a wonderful match with my Lyra Helikon, but
it also worked it's magic with a friend's AudioTechnica OC-9 mk 4
(or whatever is the latest version).

well, there's my take on this unit. since the asylum is where i go to
do my research, i thought i would post soemthing that may help others in
doing their research.
