question on the 9V2SEs
« on: 22 Aug 2009, 02:39 pm »
I love my Nuforce monos and P9 pre amp. As I have started to look for new speakers one of the technical things I read about is an amps ability to deliver voltage and that some speakers need high voltage (current). The voltage output is one measurement that I have not seen published for the 9V2SEs. What is it and is it critical?

the output voltage is a function of the power requirement. Power = V x I
We already published the max power. The max current is about 7.2A

Hi Jsaon,
I am looking at getting a pair of Nuforce 9se V2 amps.
I want to use my Sansui vintage tuner with the amps and possibly direct connect as the tuner hs a volume variable output.
Do I have to worry about the fm noise problem that the v1 amps had?
Thanks,
Bill

You could do the $1 trial to see.

thanks for the voltage info. I still dont understand the importance, some of the amps I have read about deliver 40+amps. Is this a critical trait in driving speakers???

No, unless your speaker is really inefficient. We have sold thousands of pairs of our mono amps worldwide and just about every type of speakers have been used.

Ref 9V2E will have problem driving the super power hungry top of the line MBL speaker (cost something like $100K).
