This has been a good year, no bugs in the mancave. Nothin scarier than the sensation of something crawling on your leg or neck while listening to your favorite tunes in the dark.
If you walk around the outside of my house you'll notice ants walking around the perimeter. None, okay maybe one, made it inside to crawl on my arm. The reason, besides having no summer. Is I sprayed indoor-outdoor pestiside all along the base of the concrete and window seals, and along where the basement raftors join the concrete. That was last year! Never had to spray this year though I stocked up on another bottlle.
Occasionally a crescendo of bass will knock a spider from the raftors. The ususal reaction is, 'Look at the size of that thing!' and hit it with a shoe. But wait a minute, if that spider is that big she's obviously eating something even scarier that could crawl on you. I kill it anyway reasoning that she must have youngens, and they'll have more to eat with her outta the way.
I like the terpentine like smell of freshly sprayed bug spray. Over time I suppose it's gets alittle nauseating, but I keep a fan running to air the room out.
