For sale is my Rega Planet 2000, Bought this used a couple years ago and since it has seen a pretty small amount of use since ive found myself playing stuff off my computer vs sitting down for an actual CD. Also because when I do actually sit down for a CD i usually like to crank it up and this player doesnt like my dual subwoofers...So i got a universal player that doesnt mind.
Cosmetically the player looks used but is in good shape overall. All of the defects have been pictured. Remote is in good condition. Havent even used it as i have a universal remote.
Electrically/mechanically the player works fine but does tend to skip alot when vibrations are around. I can listen to an entire cd just fine at low volume or with headphones but when cranked up it skips on heavy bass passages. If your a basshead of like loud music this isint the player for you!!! I dont know if its the type of player or because its just super sensitive. I have tried replacing the laser unit and it was the same so its not the laser. Included is the replacement laser pickup which is the part most likely to fail in a optical player. You already have a replacement! I am an electronics tech by trade so you dont have to worry about some weekend hack playing around with the internals... The pickup thats installed in the player right now is the stock one.
Included is the original box (kinda beatup) I will doublebox it.
