Hawaiian koa for Hawaiian Chris
« on: 26 Aug 2009, 02:24 am »
Chris ordered a pair of SongTowers.  Since he lives in Hawaii, he wanted Hawaiian koa.

Well, as the project progressed, Chris ordered a SongCenter and two pairs of SongSurrounds.  Then he added two SongSubs. Oh, and two pairs of stands for the surrounds as well.

After exchanging emails, he decided to add some A/V furniture to the mix.  He drew a couple of designs and we went to work.

We actually had the speakers done some time ago, but since we were going to have to ship via sea freight, the shipment had to wait until every last part of the project was complete.

Today we took this picture...

It looks like we'll be packing for the next couple of days and these will soon be on the way to the Islands.

I'll try and post a few more pictures in the next day or so.

Wow!  This looks incredible Jim.

Hawaiian koa is one of my favorite woods.

This setup looks amazing.  Awesome work.  Chris is going to be thrilled.

So where is Hawaiian Chris.....I like to invite myself over for an audition when he's all settled in? ( since I live in Hawaii myself)

Exquisite work as usual Jim. Looks like Chris is in for an overdose of eye & ear candy in the very near future.

We'll have to keep an eye out for him over on the " place to Salk ..." thread. After those pics he'll be suffering some serious anticipation anxiety. Maybe we can get him to take some pics of them off-loading from the ship.  A change of pace from the FedEx trucks.

:o  Whoa - that is a sight for sore eyes!  Job well done, Jim; they are fantastic!

Chris, you lucky dog you!  :)  I bet your mouth is watering.     I look forward to your SD Day (Salk delivery day).  Please post your impressions of more pictures.  Welcome to the Salk family!

Congratulations!
Koa is just beautiful.
Once had a Martin Guitar with Koa Sides and Back.
It looked like it was on fire!
