5 way design with 3 12" woofers, midrange, tweeter, and ribbon supertweeters. Has adjustable level controls for midrange and tweeters. Good condition with a few scratches. Adjustable level controls are sometimes a little scratchy but work fine once desired level is reached. Can be biwired as an option. These are very full and natural sounding with extended bass and smooth detailed highs. They retailed for over $1600. Local sale only. If needed, I could meet buyer within 100 miles of Detroit. Great bargain, and a great speaker.

Couple things,

1) You didn't mention what the "finish" was.

2) More than likely the "scratchiness/static" you mentioned is due to oxidation on the windings of the L-Pads.  Chances are if you "GENTLY" rotated the L=Pads back and forth 20-30 times, that static would disappear.

I had a pair of these and hated to see them go.  And at this price they could be used in any number of ways from Garage ROCK'N speakers to side or rear surrounds in a HT.

Bedroom speakers?  or even an incredible "STARTER" speaker for a budding VMPS'er in a 2 channel system.

The finish looks like Oak.  I will try that with the level controls.  Thanks for the support
