OK I get it now - the 7B uses 8 output devices per side in stereo and 16 total in mono.  The 7B uses 16 as it is mono already.

Hi werd,

No... the output devices are always in pairs so there is always an even number per side.

Oh ok. I somehow got the impression from somewhere the model numbers on your amps are indicative of the number of output transistors. Well that answers my first question also.
