dual voice coils on VMPS subs
« on: 27 Dec 2003, 10:07 pm »
I need some help here.  One option on the VMPS original sub is a dual voice coil driver.  Each voice coil is 8 ohms.  Are both voice coils hooked up together to make a 4 ohm impedance or is each voice coil driven separately?  If either is an option, which one is preferred?

Also, is soundcoat available on the original sub?  This is not listed as an option on the VMPS site.

Thanks.

DVC is discontinued on the Dedicated and Original subs--they had an unfortunate tendency to burn out.  Soundcoat is $75 on any cabinet.
