Jason Molina - Talented Man

I am enjoying the crap out of "Axxess & Ace" and "Fading Trails". Jason Molina (Songs:Ohia; Magnolia Electric Co). This man is a great songwriter and "sings" with such subtle, raw, haunting  emotion. And well recorded too. Anyone else enjoy this guy? Very Neil Young-like, especially when he rocks with Songs:Ohia on "Magnolia Electric Co" release - they sound like Crazy Horse. Great stuff.

I'm a fan too.  I have a Songs:Ohia or two but am more familiar with MEC.

Do you know if he's related to Crazy Horse's drummer, Ralph Molina?

I in joy his music a lot. I've collected a bunch of his live shows over the years. Although i must say some of his songs tend to blend into one another

His live stuff can be very good. I have not heard a lot of it but he seems to like a little distortion in much of what I have heard. But it works well. Never seen him live. He's playing in Atlanta next week. Would love to go but not sure if I can this time.
