No, I'm not hostile to the Marantz setup procedure at all. It's just that by the time you push the arm over the 45 adapter, it's giving a fair amount of resistance. And I'm setting up right angle things to make sure that big arrow points DIRECTLY back and then I'm bending and squinting to see the needle over the "+" mark. In other words, it's unwieldy.
The latter pics do show the setup per Marantz' instructions. That's why it looks screwy on the "universal" protractor. I'll try that website, Otis.
I've just been so busy at work that it's cutting into my vinyl time!!!!
