I would classify these as monitors with a very flat response and very scary detail.
Custom made reference bookshelf loudspeakers in white, featuring quality components a 7" Audax Aerogel woofer AM170Z2, and a 1-1/8" Dynavox silk-dome tweeter #D2801xl.
They have a very flat response from 60-20,000 hz, are 8 ohms, handle 100 watts r.m.s. each/ 200 watts peak, and have a 90 db sens. at 1w/1m and are typical Studio-type monitors. Very detailed no- nonsense reproduction.
Few light paint scuffs easily touched up.
The woofers are French-made Audax Aerogels, with a Kevlar/ Carbon-fibre cone, rubber surround, phase plug and cast chassis.
The tweeters are Dynavox 1-1/8" silk-dome units with ferro-fluid for a smooth response. The crossovers are hand-made using Dayton metalized-poly caps, Eagle metal-oxide resistors, and perfect-layer air coils throughout.
The internal wire is 16 gauge o.f.c. copper, and connections are made via two sets of 5-way binding posts with jumpers included.
The cabinets are constructed of 3/4" M.D.F. coated with a rugged textured White paint and measure 15" tall X 8" wide x 9.5" deep. They are quite heavy as the cabinets are built to reduce vibrations/standing waves.
