I am selling My Counterpoint SA20 Hybrid amplifier. This large amp uses 4 6DJ8/6922 tubes, plus another on for phase invertion and a 6th tube as the rectifier. The amp was rebuilt by Counterpoint and is in excellent shape. Very little use since the rebuilt. I have the manual and a replacement box that Counterpoint send. I will provide new tubes. I have pictures so send me email plederbe@optonline.net .

I am asking for $900 plus S/H and will listen for offers.

Can you explain the rebuild? What was done to the amp?

Thanks,

Gary

I am currently using a SA 20 with 6sn7 tubes, sweetest sounding amp I have heard so far, on loan from a friend but a very nice amp indeed. Been in the system for a couple of months with no desire to remove it.
It is big and heavy, has a delicious , delicate sound that is very unique. I have not heard another amp sound quite like it.

Lot of amp for $900

The rebuild was done because some of the Mosfets blew out. Mikes company did a rebuild of the output stages, all new mosfets, resistors, etc. The amp using 6DJ8/6922 x 5 plus one rectifier tube. The old design sounds warmer and more like Tubes then the upgrades IMHO. Let me know if you need any more info.
