I recently got an M520 to drive my F120A fonkens because as lovely as the Wright Mono 7s were, they still didn't really have enough juice for the full scalle orchestral stuff in the large room where the speakers are now -- which is not where I thought they'd be when I got the amps.
I miss the wonderful drive and effortless presentation that I got from the Decware Torii II, but I wanted something a bit quieter, and yes, damn it, I wanted a remote volume control

.
Biill used to sell a version of the M520 with blackgates and v-caps -- the former in the PS, and the latter in coupling positions. But now he's thinking that the ampohm tin foils are the way to go as far as the coupling caps are concerned.
Anyway, I'm considering doing that at some point, but also want to know if people have done anything else to these already sweet amps. Also, if anybody knows any particulars about what caps were changed in Bill's oriiginal modified version, and what the values were, that would be especially helpful.
TIA,
Jim
P.S. -- I already asked Bill and he doesn't know any specifics about what was changed and what the values are as it's been a while since he offered those mods.
