Danny,
I don't see it on the drivers page.  Is out of stock...or discontinued?

Sold out. And I don't plan to order more at this time. Everybody wants the servo woofers.

Bummer.

I guess the pair I bought for my car a few weeks ago were one of the last ones.  :green:

It took a little bit of run in time for them to sound right but they are absolutely killer now :thumb: Much better than the Shivas I've been using for the past few years. Really tuneful bass and tons of slam when you ask for it.

I have some if anyone is interested. I also have 2  12" passives that were used with the 12's.

You can check out my feedback on audiogon or ebay under the same screen name(ryan45872).
Thanks
Ryan

Thankfully I got my 2 units couple of days ago. :thumb: On one of the units though the surround is a bit flatter than the other unit. Hopefully thats not going to cause any problems once in use. Should I free air test them before installing them?

That's odd. Let me know if it straightens out with a little play or not. That surround is pretty thick too. You should be able to push it around a bit.

Sad to see them go. The servos have their place, but the SW-12B's are sweet for active and passive builds.

I'll post some picks soon of my little project using the SW-12B's. I am installing them (up-firing) in a pair of "tri-amped" CBT36 line source loudspeakers using on board Digamoda amplifiers. There was no room for servo amps on this build. The Digamoda amps power the SW-12B's with 500 watts ea. The mid woofers with 500W per side and the tweeters with 250 watts per side.

Should be fun to hear the CBT36's with deep, high impact, time aligned bass from the SW-12B's. :green:

Hi Danny!
Its a bit late but one more thing I was concerned about was that the surround is covering the mounting holes on the drivers I have. Is it ok to put the mounting screws through the surround material? Would that effect the driver in any way.

Hi Danny!
Still contemplating what configuration to use for SW-12B drivers. What would be an appropriate volume for dual opposed sealed enclosure for 2600 cuft room to go with another 10" dual opposed I already have. What should be the max amp power I can use without taxing the drivers in dual opposed configuration if I connect the wires from both drivers to same set on binding posts? Does that mean that drivers are in parallel?
Thanks,

Thanks,

You'll need 2.4 cubic feet.

Together they will handle 400 to 500 watt peaks.

And yes, you will parallel the drivers (both on the same binding post).

Danny,

What kind of freq response can be expected with the dual oppossed box?  Basically, what would the -3 db point be.  Would this perform well for HT or am I better off going the passive or ported route?

Thanks

That will vary a lot in a room. Anechoic they are -3db down at about 38Hz which is real good for a sealed box sub.
