I was thinking it would go nicely with a Buffalo Dac.

Robert, definitely take a look at the thread Ashok referenced. 

In short, the Popcorn Hour (and all NMTs) make GREAT transports!!  I don't know of anything else capable of 24bit / 192khz material.  And for as cheap as they are, what an audio bargain!

Great thread these look like what I will be looking for.  My wife has commandeered my Olive Musica for the living room, I tried to explain that after the Bolder Mods it was a Hifi device and needed to stay with the HiFi system... Then tried to explain that she needed to buy it from me,,,, then excepted defeat and started looking for alternatives ... lol 

These would rock with a Buffalo Dac!!!
