Ringing in Man Cave

Hi Everyone,

I picked up a SVS AS-EQ1 dual sub equalizer to try and on HTS forum someone asked about waterfall plots. I took a crash course on REW to find out I have a pretty severe ~21Hz ringing / resonance. It could be a function of room dimensions and/or I could be exciting ductwork, dropped ceiling, flooring (actually ceiling) or Lord knows what else.

Has anyone been through this in their basement rooms?  Or other large rooms? Is there a  troubleshooting / isolating procedure for the building materials?
Do I find a new hobby? :duh:
Bryan suggested cascading a PEQ over the SVS, if I decide to try this does anyone have one they could lend / bring over /or??

More info (see page 22):

Comments, suggestions?

Thanks,
Joe
